|What CRAZY weather we have been experiencing lately. We go from sunny and high 70's to cloudy, raining and cold in a matter of days. But I guess that is spring in Wisconsin. Memorial Day weekend is Kate's Baits busiest weekend of the year. We go all in for the weekend including Fresh Meats and Salads from the butcher shop. Our shelves are full to the brim with Tackle and snacks. This weekend will be warm but it looks like we are going to see some showers and thunderstorms. The weekend won't be a complete wash though because the fish are biting. Reports of Blue Gills, Crappie, Walleye and Bass at Governor Dodge. Crappie bite is good at Yellowstone State Park. Bass bite is good at Blackhawk. Crappie Minnows and Leeches have been the bait of choice this past week. As always, night crawlers and wax worms are a good seller too. We also have a big Old Hickory Building and Shed sale going on until May 31st. Lots of reasons to stop at the local Bait Shop this weekend. Hope to see you soon! ~Katie Mosley |
